Production assistant

We're looking for a Production Assistant at our sow farm in Albion, IN. In this position, you'd be assisting in all areas of pig care: breeding, farrowing and finishing, on a flexible weekday schedule and every other weekend, and recording accurate data for our Swine Genetics Research Team.

Essential job functions would include feedings, walking pens, necessary treatments, ensuring pig comfort, power-washing, adhering to bio-security protocols, while performing general pig care tasks per specific training and SOP's.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
1-2 years experience in animal care preferred, or the desire to learn
Able to climb gates, moderate to heavy lifting at times
Availability to work alternate weekends and holidays
A passion for pigs!
